Baseball (3-27)

April 1 vs. Army 

W, 10-6

Senior Trevor Houck went the distance, only giving up three earned runs over seven innings of work. Sophomore John Selsor collected three hits and knocked in two runs to power the Leopards over the Golden Knights.

 

April 1 vs. Army

L, 10-5

Both teams combined for 25 hits, but it was the Golden Knights who came out ahead at the end of the slugfest.

 

April 2 vs. Army 

L, 5-4

Sophomore David Giusti was one strike away from a complete game, but Army rallied to take the lead, 4-3. Junior Steven Cohen blasted a solo home run to tie the game but Army scored in their half of the inning to win the game.

 

April 2 vs. Army

L, 10-9

After being down by a lot early, the Leopards rallied for six runs in the eighth inning, only to come up a run short in a one run loss to Army. Selsor collected three hits and knocked in a pair of runs, and junior Luke Robinson added a two run home run.

 

April 4 @ St. Joseph’s

L, 11-1

Cohen led off the game with a solo home run but that was the extent of the Leopards’ offense as they fell to the Hawks.

 

Men’s Lacrosse (1-9)

April 1 @ Binghamton

L, 14-8

The Leopards found themselves down 6-1 after the first 22 minutes and couldn’t find a way back into the game. Senior Eric Joseph scored three goals and sophomore Conor Walters added two of his own.

 

April 4 vs. Monmouth

L, 9-8

Down three goals with a few minutes left, the Leopards’ comeback fell just short. Senior co-captain Kevin Lewis led the Leopards with three goals.

 

Women’s Lacrosse (9-3)

April 1 vs. American

W, 20-9

The Leopards won their fourth straight Patriot League game to remain undefeated in conference play. Sophomore Jane Kirby scored a career-high eight goals to power the Lafayette offense.

 

Softball (4-13)

April 1 vs. Lehigh

L, 4-1

The offense only mustered up five hits in the loss to the Mountain Hawks. Senior Jenna Orlando led the way with two hits and knocked in the only run.

 

April 2 vs. Lehigh

L, 18-0

It was all Lehigh as the Leopards were only able to collect one hit on the afternoon.

 

April 2 vs. Lehigh

W, 3-1

After an 18-0 rout, the Leopards bounced back with a win over the rival Mountain Hawks. Junior Miranda Skurla collected two RBI and junior Stephanie Thomas only gave up one earned run over seven innings.

 

April 5 vs. LaSalle

L, 3-0

The Leopards got shut out as they only had four hits in the game, with Orlando collecting two of them.

 

April 5 vs. LaSalle

W, 3-2

After six scoreless innings, the Leopards plated a run on a sacrifice squeeze by Orlando. Sophomore Maddie Wensel had two hits and an RBI as the Leopards took down the Explorers.

 

Men’s Tennis (6-10)

April 2 @ Colgate

L, 7-0

The Leopards were swept in every match and got shutout by the Raiders.

 

Women’s Tennis (6-10)

March 30 vs. East Stroudsburg

W, 7-0

Only losing one set in all matches combined, the Leopards swept the Warriors.

 

April 1 vs. Navy

L, 7-0

The Leopards were swept as freshman Grace Conrad was the only one to win a set on the afternoon.

 

April 2 @ Colgate

L, 6-1

Conrad won her singles match and grabbed the lone point for the Leopards against the Raiders.

 

Track and Field

April 1 @ VertKlasse Meeting

Junior Dave McGriff had three top-ten showings – first in the discus, 10th in the shot-put and sixth in the hammer. On the track, senior Drew Davis finished second out of 65 runners in the 400m.

 

April 1 @ Muhlenberg Invitational

The team posted a total of five top-ten finishes, highlighted by junior Michael Thorne’s first place finish in the pole vault.
