Revised route for arts campus shuttle

The Arts Campus shuttle will unveil a revised schedule and route this Monday to better accommodate students’ transportation needs.

Stemming from discussions between student government’s student services subcommittee and public safety addressing student concerns on the shuttles current route, the changes will add two stops to the route and change the location of another, according to Bruce Hill, the transportation coordinator.

Stops will be added at the Sullivan Road Parking Deck across from Kamine Hall and at the bus station in downtown Easton. The stop at Pardee Circle will also be moved to the intersection of McCartney Street and Clinton Terrace. The shuttle will continue to make stops at the Snyder Street lot near the Arts campus, Hill said.

The most recent changes follow previous amendments to the schedule that aligned the pickup times at the Snyder Street Lot and Pardee Circle with the start and end times of classes.

Hill explained that both public safety and Palmeri Transportation, the company that operates the shuttle, tested the new route to ensure it still coincides with class times.

Copies of the updated schedule are available on public safety’s website, outside Farinon and Marquis dining facilities, the circulation desk in Skillman Library and on the arts campus shuttle buses, according to an email sent out to the Lafayette community from public safety.
