Students share their Summer plans

Throughout the past week, students have buckled down in preparation for final exams, studying and guzzling Skillman coffee until the break of dawn. But there remains one redemptive quality to the weeks of madness—the light at the end of the tunnel—summer. Campus dwellers have some intriguing answers as to how they will spend the next couple months of their freedom.

“I will be volunteering at the San Bruno Mountain State Park in Northern California. There, I will be replanting native species.” -Julie Cantor ‘17

“…I am also attending several music festivals, like the Electric Forest and the Hudson River Project. Who doesn’t love music, hippies, and free spirited dancing?!” -Eugene Chung ‘15

“I am going back to Japan to attend an International Environmental Conference that will focus on preserving the ocean.” -Kanako Shibano ‘16

“I am organic farming and harvesting olives in New Zealand.” -Lila Silver ‘17

“I got an excel scholarship with Professor Soh. We will be researching biodiesel and its applicability to the Easton community.” -Barker Carlock ‘17

“I am working at a Credit Suisse in Manhattan as an operations analyst.” -Megan Myron ‘14

“I will be working on campus as a tour guide. I am also going to California to visit family friends.” -Ivan Rudd ‘17

“I am doing a summer language program at UVA. There, I will study Russian.” – Thomas Crocker ‘17

“I am going to be a Communications Intern for Eon at their office in Berlin.” -James Ensor ‘16

“I rented a cottage in Nantucket to escape by the seaside.” -Olivia Hadley ‘16

“I am going snowboarding in Canada if the weather permits. I’ll also be holding an engineering internship.” -Justin Sandler ‘15
