Baseball:
March 15th: L 5-1 vs. Rutgers
Five errors for Lafayette led to all five runs in the game. Sophomore Mitch Leeds threw 5.1 innings resulting in four unearned runs with five strikeouts.
March 15th: L 2-1 vs. Buffalo
Freshman David Bednar tossed seven scoreless innings, giving up two unearned runs, while fanning six in his first loss of the season.
Saturday: L 3-0 (7 innings) at Penn
Sophomore Connor Ortolf gave up his only earned run in the first inning, but Lafayette’s .240 team batting average and two unearned runs in the second and fourth led to defeat.
Saturday: L 8-3 at Penn
An early two run home run, and a double led to a three run lead for Penn in the second inning. Despite three runs late, Lafayette couldn’t shrink the five run deficit due to solid relief out of the Penn bullpen.
Sunday: W 4-3 (8) vs. Penn
Lafayette responded to Penn’s 3-2 lead they took in the top of the eighth inning with a game tying single by sophomore Tyler Hudson, followed up by a walk off, two out single, into right field by sophomore Campbell Lipe.
Sunday: L 11-7 vs. Penn
A six run first inning rally off sophomore Ari Kaufman led to an 11 run, 17 hit game for Penn.
Tuesday: Postponed at Liberty Bell Classic vs. Penn
Wednesday: Cancelled at Seton Hall

March 15th: L 6-0 vs. Idaho State
By committee the Idaho State pitching staff held Lafayette to one hit.
March 15th: L 8-5 vs. Southern Utah
After an early 3-0 lead, as a result of freshman Jenna Orlando’s two out, bases clearing double, Lafayette gave up 7 straight runs; four of which
were earned.
March 16th: L 13-5 (5) vs. Southern Utah
Senior starting pitcher Melissa Robinson was pulled in the first inning after giving up seven runs. She faced 11 batters including leadoff batter Sara Park who went 2-2 with a run and three RBI in the inning.
March 16th: L 10-0 (5) vs. Idaho State
Lafayette was held to 17 total batters due to a dominant pitching performance from Idaho State starter Haley Douglas, who held the women to one hit.
March 19th: L 9-1 (5) at Columbia
In their last series before Patriot League play, Lafayette scored one run in the top of the third inning on a single to center by junior Kristen Berger. Columbia scored a combined nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take a definitive lead.
March 19th: L 12-4 (6) at Columbia
Lafayette led 4-2 going into the sixth inning before Columbia tacked on 10 runs on a three run homer, two errors, and three walks in the bottom of the inning.

Men’s Lacrosse:
March 15th: L 12-7 vs. Boston University
Despite six second-half goals and leading 35-33 in shots and 11-9 in saves, Lafayette was not able to stifle BU’s offensive accuracy.
Saturday: L 21-4 at No.1 Loyola
Lafayette was outscored 13-2 in the first half of the match with two of their four total goals coming from sophomore Brendan Dunlap. Lafayette goalkeepers combined for 12 saves and 21 goals.

Wake Forest Open
For the men’s team, sophomore Jarrel Bobb beat his personal best in the 200-meter dash of 21.94. Bobb finished in the top 15 in the event. Senior Tim Shaw came in 7th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.08.
Junior Elise Buffinton starred for the women’s team, reaching a 3.70-meter vault to reserve a sport in the ECAC championships. Sophomore Devin Smith had two top 15 finishes in both the 100-meter dash, and the 200-meter dash.

Women’s Lacrosse:
March 15th: L 22-12 vs. Loyola
Despite a close first half, Loyola broke away in the second half scoring 15 goals to Lafayette’s six, while also winning 21-22 draws.
March 19th: L 9-8 at Lehigh
A 7-4 goal advantage in the second half was not enough to defeat archrival Lehigh after a 5-1 deficit going into halftime. Freshman Kirsten Wilhelmsen scored a game high four goals.
Saturday: L 11-10 (OT) at Holy Cross
Senior Laura Kleiber scored four goals to bring her tally up to 26 on the season. Kleiber and fellow senior Ana White combine for seven goals and an assist in the game.
Tuesday: W 12-7 at Central Connecticut
A five-goal surge in the second half gave Lafayette the lead 11-5 late into the game. Laura Kleiber led the team with 4 goals and 2 assists by senior, followed by freshmen Kristen Wilhelmsen and Amanda Case who combine for five goals.
