Obituary: Paul Warren Storm

Paul Warren Storm, a custodian at Lafayette for over thirty years, died last Friday due to complications with a tumor in his throat. He was 68.

Storm was born April 2, 1945 in Germantown, Pa. He began his career at Lafayette in 1982, after working at the J.T. Baker Chemical Company. Before that, he served in the Navy during Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, formerly Donna Marie Schweitzer, with whom he celebrate his 42nd anniversary in 2013; brother-in-law Jay and Jerilynn Schweitzer of Scotia, Pa.; and his goddaughter Tracy Buss of Nazareth, Pa. He also leaves behind two dogs, Happy Go Lucky and Noel.

Students on campus said they will miss Storm’s personal demeanor and easiness to converse with.

“He was always such a nice guy, very pleasant to talk to, and really kept things in very good order,” Brandon Ross ’16, who lived in Conway last year where Storm was a custodian, wrote in a text.

“He was an easy person to talk to,” Tom Day ’16, who also lived in Conway last year, wrote in a text. “Very personable, and kind.”
