Rumor has it: Outside destination to host 150th Lafayette-Lehigh game: Yankee Stadium?

Maybe by now you have heard the rumors of the 150th edition of the Lafayette-Lehigh football rivalry being played at Yankee stadium. Talk about a cool idea.
Maybe by now you have heard the rumors of the 150th edition of the Lafayette-Lehigh football rivalry being played at Yankee stadium. Talk about a cool idea.

In an interview with The Lafayette, Athletic Director BruceMcCutcheon admitted that he has indeed talked about the idea. “Its just one of several ideas that has been kicked around by Lehigh’s Athletic Director Joe Sterrett and myself. That 150th game during the 2014 season is obviously a historic moment for both schools. What can take place, what we could do to add to that event to make it something really special is definitely in the works.”

Rumors going around campus about the 150th meeting include a possible appearance by the well known and beloved College Gameday Crew featuring Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Erin Andrews. When asked about that, McCutcheon said, “That is definitely something that has been discussed as well.”

While the rumors are exciting, only time will tell whether they come true. With all that said, plan on an even more thrilling 2014 Lafayette-Lehigh game.
